Linkshare is an affiliate programme where you can sign-up in one place and get access to affiliate programmes of several companies/merchants. There are plenty of products to choose from! In fact, I’m very excited about this programme as it has affiliate merchant relationships with some well-known brands like Walmart, Sara Lee, and Time Life, among others. However, not everyone will accept you as an affiliate. It will depend on a few factors. But, there’s no harm in checking out which ones you can work with.
Here are some simple steps to get started:
1) Join LinkShare .. Fill up an application form. But, be warned: This may be a bit tricky. In fact, it’s one of the trickiest application forms I’ve ever had to fill up. You have to follow the instructions carefully.
2) Setup your account. Provide some info about your websites/weblogs, ezines, etc. that you will use to promote your affiliates.
3) Start joining affiliate programmes! Just go to specific categories (art, travel, business, web, electronics, home, etc.) then choose the merchants that you’re interested to work with. Apply to the appropriate programmes and agree to the terms and conditions.
4) Start getting links and promoting them via weblogs, websites, emails, etc. Spread the word and start promoting your affiliates.

I think linkshare is one of the top affiliate programs
