Scrivs over at WorkBoxers is selling some of his sites. The collection consists of about 8 sites, including BigMoneyTips.com, BetterLandscaping, and TheRoe.com. These sites are members of the 9RulesNetwork.
Bidding starts at US$2,000. But, if you wish to buy the package immediately, then you can do so for US$10,000. The auction ends on Sunday, the 5th of June 2005, 11:59pm EST.
One advantage of buying sites instead of developing your own (or in addition to the sites you already own), is that you get one that’s already ‘pre-cooked’. Basically, it’s like buying a pre-existing business.
Unlike brand new sites, these sites will already have Google PageRanks, some incoming links, and even some readers. In fact, according to the current owner, these sites even raked in US$100 for the month of May 2005 via AdSense and Clickbank, even with very little effort on his part. It’s not much. But perhaps, with a bit more work, you can easily increase the value of these sites.
In any case, it might be worth looking into. Even if you decide not to buy these sites, you might still consider keeping your eyes and ears open for other sites that go on the market.
