I just decided to start a new category here at Make Money Online, the “Show Me The Money” category. Why and what for?
Well, I know I write about making money here — telling you about my explorations, experiments and experiences (yes, I’m a fan of alliterations 
). So, I figured, I better tell you where I’m getting my online money from. Not to brag or anything.
I just thought it might be a good idea to let you know that people can – and do – make money from web ventures (not just from talking or writing about making money). And, to share with you which programmes really work for me in terms of actual $. Heaven only knows how much virtual dollars I’ve got floating around in cyberspace — stuck because of payout thresholds not being met and goodness knows what (maybe I’ll talk about those too).
If you’d like to share your own “real money” experiences here, I encourage you to do so as well. I’m hoping that this will also help us learn about really making money online.
So far, I’ve had really good luck with Preston Reuther’s http://www.wire-sculpture.com affiliate program. So anyone who has a topic/site related to wire, jewelry, or beads, I highly recommend it.
2 months of checks from google ads are good. Not much but for something which I do not have to really work for, I can’t complain.
Tammy: Congrats again on that. I hope you do find more avenues to earn from your blog. And, thanks for the tip on wire-sculpture.com. Maybe I’ll write about this affiliate programme one of these days and quote you on it.
Melissa: Two months of cheques from Google? If that’s only within the last couple of months, that’s pretty good going (I’m assuming that the pay threshold is US$100+ per cheque). How many sites/blogs do you run Google AdSense and how long have you been using them?
I’d like to know how Melissa makes so much from Google ads too! That’s a lot of clicks per month.
Someone went through one of my Amazon affiliate links and bought a book completely unrelated to anything I would have posted up. I couldn’t believe I got a percentage of that sale too! So now whenever possible, I will link to Amazon with my affiliate code.
