2006 Online Sales To Exceed US$100 Billion
Here’s great news to online entrepreneurs:
The chairman of comScore Networks, Mr Gian Fulgoni, says: “If, as we expect, e-commerce spending continues to grow at a rate in excess of 20 percent for the balance of the year, online spending for 2006 will eclipse the $100 billion threshold for the first time.* The growth in consumers’ online buying during the past five years has been quite remarkable, with e-commerce now well integrated into Americans’ shopping behavior.”
The online business landscape is definitely changing and growing. People are becoming more web and computer savvy. Consumers are learning to be more comfortable with online transactions. And, I believe that it’s not just Americans’ shopping behaviour that has slowly integrated e-commerce. The Internet is definitely becoming a rich global marketplace.
