in General: Making Money Stuff

The article, Free Start to a Home-Based Business, got me thinking about different questions that people ask when starting a home-based online business. Some of the questions are:

1) Why do you want to start an online business? It always helps to know what your goals are when starting your own business. So, it’s important to ask questions like: Do you simply want extra cash or do you want to earn enough to quit a daytime job? Do you want flexible hours? Are you looking for ways to make money doing something that you love? What do you want to get out of it?

2) How much time and money can you spend on your online business start-up? The kind of online business that you create is dependent on the amount of time and money that you can use as your capital.

3) What kind of skills do you have? This will help you to figure out if you need help from other people and/or to know what skills you need to learn/acquire in order to run your online business. Do you need to learn how to make your own website - or can you hire someone else to do it? Can you do your own bookeeping/accounting - or do you need to get someone to do it for you? These are some of the things that you need to know when assessing your skills.
