RapLeaf: Portable User Feedback Service
Not too long ago, I mentioned the need and the use of User Testimonials. Now, I found this service called RapLeaf, a ‘reputation service’ that’s billed as the “portable ratings for buyers and sellers.” Here’s RapLeaf’s description of their service:
RapLeaf is a portable ratings system for commerce. We allow buyers and sellers to rate one another. Get rated and get a RapLeaf score that will help lead to a greater level of trust.
For buyers, here’s what RapLeaf has to say:
Make sure that sellers know that they will get paid when selling to you. Also, a good reputation will let them know that you are considerate and not a flake. Gain trust from sellers by showing them you are trustworthy.
And, for sellers:
Once you’ve established a good reputation it should follow you wherever you sell to help grow your business. Whether you sell collectibles, computers, or your time, by promoting your RapLeaf score you are telling your customers that you are accountable to them.
It’s a free service. All you need to do is to register and to create a profile. When you have a profile, you can then promote it to your customers/clients. You can be given a positive, neutral or negative feedback - pretty much like eBay’s feedback system.
Apart from buyers and sellers, feedback may also be made by friends and through barters deals.
Here’s my own RapLeaf button. When you click on it, you’ll find my profile and existing feedback collection.
You too can have such a feedback system incorporated in to your online business when you use RapLeaf’s service.
Anyway, since I’ve only just started using this, I can’t give a full review of the service yet. Once I’m using it for a while, I may be able to give you more of my thoughts on this. Feel free to share your own reviews of RapLeaf’s service, if you’re already using it.

Can’t find feedback for Rapleaf. How do we know if it is ethical? They require my email address & password to register. A friend’s site recently was hacked by giving out the same info to what seemed like a legitimate site. He lossed everything… websites, files, email accounts & still has to pay for the accounts.
