As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m testing out Text Link Ads*. The sign-up and the approval processes were pretty quick and easy. Even getting my first site approved was quite painless.
I decided to try it out first at ShaiCoggins.com, my personal blog. I installed the script and was pleased that it actually supports my blog platform, Expression Engine. I had it all running in less than 15 minutes in total (not counting the amount of time I spent reading, etc.). So now, Text Links Ads is meant to sell links to my blog.
My settings include: Allowing 4 ad spots, sold site-wide, and TLA-editor approved (for now). Now, let’s see if it’ll bring in some dollars. Will keep you updated.

I’m trying them out on sleepyblogger.com too. Have you seen their feedvertising? It looks very smart (and the only RSS advertising option I’ve seen that effectively gives you control over your ads). You can even add in an ad for another site of yours or for an affiliate program you want to schlep. Using the service doesn’t even require that you use their ads. Sweet…
By the way, I’m a fellow b5er and I didn’t even know about this site. I’m adding you to my sidebar at Sleepyblogger. Great stuff!
It looks like you have removed text-link-ads from your blog and switched to Google. Did it not work for you?
Cheers!
I didnt get approved for text link adds…
I use google ads to now… hope i will make some dollars
Robyn: Glad you found this site.
So, how’re you finding TLA on your other blog? Haven’t tried Feedvertising, as it doesn’t support my existing blog platform at ShaiCoggins.com. Will be interesting to try it out in my other projects, though. Thanks again.
Online wealth: Nope. I’m still using it at ShaiCoggins.com. Not here, though.
Nomar: I wonder why you didn’t get approved? Maybe you can try again another time. Thanks for visiting.
How are you doing with TLA so far? Did you get good results? I’m considering putting up TLA on my blog.
thanks.
Ben: Really liking TLA so far.
