Revver: Make Money with Online Videos

When I first started looking at monetizing online videos, one of the services that I decided to use is Revver. I heard a few good things about it and I knew there weren’t many similar services available at the moment. So, I signed up and found two ways to make money with online videos:

1) By providing original video content. If you like creating original videos, then Revver is a service where you simply upload your content, get approval from the editorial folks at Revver,  and start posting your video wherever you can - in blogs, social networks, forums (when allowed), etc. When Revver puts an ad in your video content, you get 50% of the advertisement revenue split.

2) By sharing other people’s videos. That’s right. Revver actually pays you to share videos through their built-in affiliate programme. Just sign up for an account, browse through the video library, and start posting videos everywhere (just make sure you’re logged in whenever you grab the video embed code, so your tracking ID is attached accordingly). Affiliates get paid 20% of the ad revenue. The remaining 80% get split 50/50 between the video artist/content creator and Revver.

When you log-in to your Revver dashboard, you’ll find a report of your earnings: ‘Verified Earnings’ is the amount that you’re due to be paid while ‘Pending Balance’ is the unverified amount due (needs a 30-day clearance).

As soon as your ‘Verified Earnings’ reach US$20, then you will be issued a payment via Paypal by the 15th of the following month.
