Job-a-matic: Make Money with your own Job Boards

by Shai Coggins on June 17th, 2007

Job-a-maticHave you ever wondered if your site or blog will be a good place for people to look and advertise for related jobs? Well, now you can put your very own job boards even if you don’t know any coding or programming. A service called Job-a-matic is now available.

All you need to do is sign up, set up your job board, and add a widget or link to the job board from your existing site, blog, or forum. No need to install any software or do any serious tweaking. Easy, right? You can even customise it to your site’s theme and colours. You can also categorise jobs and set your own job listing fees. And, to top it off, it’s all free.

I checked it and added it on to my ‘test site’, Chrysalis Creativity. I only charged $5 (that’s the minimum amount you can charge) for 30 days. Very cheap, I know. But, I really just want to test the idea out. Maybe some folks looking for creative folks would like to advertise their job openings there.

What do you think? Is it something you would use in your own site, blog or forum? Let me know if you do give it a go.

I tried SimplyHired which is its competition I believe but didn’t get too much success from it. I think your blog should cater to job hunters and should have gazillions of traffic first before you can get any success from these job boards.

Alfa: I think SimplyHired must’ve purchased Job-a-matic or something. Anyway, you’re probably right. It’s either lots of traffic and/or specialised areas. There are plenty of free job ads out there as well, so… could be tough to break in.

Oh yeah, my bad. SimplyHired’s job-a-matic versus JobCoin.
