If you’re considering a merchant account when selling goods and services online, one option is Google Checkout. Some positives of using this:
- Integration with Google Adwords.
- Good user base reach. After all, it is Google.
- Free transaction processing (until end of 2007).
- Fraud protection.
- Integration options.
I’m still in the process of getting to know Google Checkout, so I can’t list any negatives yet. If you’ve had experience with Google Checkout, please feel free to share your opinions.

To date, I have processed 47 payments with Google Checkout, most of them have been since December 2006 when their free processing offer was unveiled (extended in January to include all of 2007). Although I still use Paypal, Checkout has proven to be an exceptional tool. I’ll be sad when fees are once again implemented, but that is something I will be able to live with.
Google Checkout Is By Far The Best Service Available. We Have Several Sites that we use only google checkout. Pay pal Is a serious disapointment to us and millions of other people that have had Pay pal. We Have used Google Checkout For several hundred transactions, And Have Had 0 Problems. Money is always there, and very reliable. Useing Paypal In the past has resulted in thousands of lost dollars. if Anyone is looking to use Google checkout, We Highly Recomend It. your money is your money, and control of it is 100% yours.
