The folks from ReviewMe have recently released a new ‘product line’ called Advertorials (see here). Basically, advertisers can just prepare ‘ad copy’ and offer it up to bloggers for posting ‘as is’. Bloggers can then just choose to accept (or reject) these advertorials and post them as ‘sponsored posts’. No need to write or review anything. Just copy and paste. Simple, yeah?
Well, yes and no.
It’s good for advertisers because they can control the message. It’s good for bloggers who don’t want to do any work.
But, can you just imagine having to read the same advertorials in several blogs? I’m not sure how that one will work for both the advertiser and the blogger.Â

I agree this sounds like a bad idea. I join a lot of affiliate programs and most of them offer sales letters that you can just send out verbatim. I never use them (except sometimes as a guide), because it just doesn’t seem right to publish words that aren’t your own.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this, George. Yeah, let’s wait and see how this will pan out.
