It would have been great with a strategy and a plan but as a starter you have no idea what works well. I may take your advice and create a strategy for the 6-12 month period. I'm doing OK actually and rely on ad-sense and buysellads.com. Unfortunately it looks as I have hit the ceiling now at around 10.000-15.000 page views per day and need to think out of the box now. I have tried to look for assisting authors to give diversity to the content but my luck have not been too good yet. One thing to share that I found very useful is promoting my articles on similar sites offering an option for submitting user links. I'm going specifically for blogs with alexa rating below 30.000 and it pays off quite well.
