10 Things I Know About Making Money Online: Getting Started
1) Getting an online money making project off the ground is easier than you might think.
2) The basic steps on starting a project: Choose one, do a bit of research, and just give it a go. Rinse and repeat.
3) Even if your first project doesn’t make you a lot of money to begin with, you can always try another one.
4) Depending on the time and finances involved, it’s okay to start more than one project.
5) Gauging the stability of each money-making opportunity is important. Before you quit your day job, make sure you have back-up plans. ;-)
6) You can start making money online for free - or just for a very small cost.
7) The cliche - “If it’s too good to be true, it probably is” - applies in all types of online money making opportunities.
8) Don’t just copy a good money making idea. Innovate. Invent.
9) A certain level of technical knowledge is useful, but you don’t need to be a ‘full techy’ person to make money off the web.
10) When deciding what online business you wish to start, check your passion. What do you really, really want to do?

I have the hardest time with #2. Just going for it is terrifying for me, so I insist on researching and perfecting everything to death before I move on anything. Time to stop procrastinating, huh?

Great Post Shai!
If anyone of you has ever run a small business before, you will know that the points 1-3 is a great benefit of online business. The cost of starting an online business is low or even 0. So you can keep trying until you success. However you can not do so for a small business as it cost you hundred thousands of dollar.
This is why I prefer online business.

perfumer: Gotcha. I’ll keep that in mind.
Kristen: Indeed! ;-) Procrastination doesn’t always pay off. Unless, maybe it’s housework. ;-D
Harrison: Thanks. Yes. That’s the beauty of online business. Just before I went full on in to online businesses, I was in to small business. And goodness knows how much money - and how long those things took. With my online experiments, I can easily ‘close shop’ if something’s not working out.
