One of the best ways to learn more about making money online is to analyse your own online buying habits.
Have you ever bought or paid for anything online? What did you buy? Where did you buy it from? What was your buying experience like? What did you like/dislike about it?
My recent online purchasing experience has been crazy. I went on a massive arty/crafty spending binge over the last 60 days. Mostly on eBay, but I’ve also purchased directly from various websites. But, it shows you exactly where my heart is in terms of buying products.
Most of my buying experiences have been pretty good – even when I purchase overseas. I don’t recall a lot of negatives although I am still waiting for delivery of one particular order I placed over 3 weeks ago. It’s already making me nervous, as I never had to wait for shipment for that long. And, also I have a friend who learned a few lessons when it comes to buying stuff online.
What about you? What have you learned about your online buying experiences?
I only use my credit card for biz tool purchases like my Yahoo! hosting subscription which I’m starting to hate now because of the price increase.
With the holidays approaching, I can see myself doing A LOT of online shopping. Sometimes, it’s better to avoid the crazy crowds and go shopping online with a glass of EYES TEE.
Hi Shai
Interesting that waiting 3 weeks is a long time for you. Over here in Aus when I order stuff it’s nearly always from overseas, and when I order I just forget about it.
Generally, about a month or so later a nice present comes in the mail. Anything within two weeks comes under the banner ‘shockingly fast’.
Alfa: Have you tried other hosting services? I’m not sure how much you’re paying and what your needs are, but I’m sure you can always find a better deal.
Bridget: Sounds like the perfect plan.
Jonk: Whereabouts in Oz are you? I’m in SA! And yes, a month is a bit long to wait for me. Yeah, being Down Under, I do end up buying most of my stuff from the U.S., as many are not available easily from local shops. And, many local shops still haven’t heard of going online and/or using Paypal! Argh.
