Open Mic Monday: Worst Online Money Making Projects
If you’re anything like me, you would’ve been trying several money making projects online. Although some of have turned out good, many can be really bad. That’s why I occasionally write about online money making scams and warnings every now and then.
While I haven’t really lost that much money online (thank goodness!), I have encountered some bad deals. And, at the moment, the first thing that comes to mind is Clickbank. No, they’re not a scam. In fact, they’re a very legit way to make money online. In fact, I know some people make hundreds - if not thousands - of dollars from Clickbank alone. But, my personal experience with them hasn’t been good. It’s one place where I actually ‘lost’ money. So, I’m not a big fan. But, I haven’t completely given up on it either.
Other than Clickbank, I’m sure I got myself in to some crazy online venture in one way or the other - built websites that hardly made money, bought ebooks/memberships that promised to help me make money but was just a waste of time and resources, signed up for a project that never paid…

I’ve failed lots of times, but I don’t regret any of those failures. Even when I’ve done something that looked stupid in retrospect, I’ve always been able to learn from it, and that made it worthwhile.
I think that’s the key: if you’re trying, you’ll always fail, but don’t fail without figuring out why you failed so that you don’t make the same mistake again.

This is a really shocking to hear from a famous blogger that he has not seen success with clickbank. Although you deserves appreciation for accepting your failure and coming out in public. I have had decent success with clickbak but only with adwords and not using blogging.

ClickBank has been “okay” for me…nothing groundbreaking. My failures have been learning experiences. I’ve yet to make major success with networks such as Linkshare and Commission Junction. But I’m working on it. In the “internet marketing” niche, I’ve had success with low priced products. Ahh, the effect of the “7 Dollar” script. :-)

Sorry to hear that Shai,
I’ve actually had an incredible amount of success with clickbank, but on the other hand when I first started looking for ways to make money online I did get scammed a few times. I guess it was all worth it in the end.
