How to Make Money Online During the Holidays
If you’re not one of the e-tailers laughing all the way to the bank during the Holidays, nor one of those virtual assistants who actually consider the holidays as one of the busiest times of the year, how do you make money online before wrapping Christmas gifts for everyone?
Do you have a blog? Optimize it.
It’s a no-brainer if you have been in the online publishing industry for quite some time. But if you’ve just started with your niche blogging, tweak, tweak and tweak to make it useful for people looking for some gift ideas and you’ll see your ad earnings shoot up in no time. Or if you dislike AdSense, how about affiliate products? Any blog or website with a theme will most probably have an affiliate product match.
Got gadgets you no longer use? Auction them off on eBay.
I find myself collecting stuff that I don’t really use these past few months. And I’m sure this bit of advice from Chris Pirillo might work for me, too, if only eBay Philippines has the same enthusiastic buyers as that of eBay US.
Are you blog savvy? Be a part of the Problogger Community Consulting 2.0 project.
This is Darren Rowse’s version of paid blog review. Darren will charge $250 and part of it will go to one of those people who add his or her two cents worth of advice. I don’t think someone’s going to get just two cents though. Here’s one of the reasons why Darren’s charging $250:
It will enable us to offer the wider ProBlogger community an incentive to participate (there will be a prize for one person who gives advice).
Who knows that one person might be you, right?

Optimizing can take a while …. the holidays may be over before you’ve optimized your blog … nonetheless, seasonal influences can bring in some cash if you take them into account …

Yes, it may take some time. But there are also those blogs that only need some little tweaking to get optimized.
You have a great blog!

That’s one nice website. Aside from eBayers, it’s going to be one great tool for online marketers looking for ways to advertise their products or get some publicity.

Nice article. I also find the holiday reason is a good time to “increase income” by hiring assistants to outsource certain tasks. This is one of the things I learned from Tim Ferriss’ “four hour workweek” and the “freedom business system” of James Brausch.

Thanks for your feedback Alfa and Teamaffiliate.
The site is really cool. I’m hooked on going there all the time to who’s bidding on what. One of the coolest things about the script is you have the option to just show products your selling from your ebay account. You can choose the “just show products from my ebay account” in the admin.
So I installed a copy for my wife b/c she sells clothes on ebay. She now has an independent website that shows her items only and she can drive traffic to her ebay listings that way.
forgot to post the url to where the script is..

Thanks for the compliment …. The blog is still very fresh and I’m always in a time sandwich to get things done … You know how it goes …. Hopefully I’ll get some time free soon to throw some more posts on it …

I think that it really takes a longer time to prepare a site to make money online. We have to plan and build the site at least 1 year before. For example, now we can start planning building a site for next year holiday seasons.

Very true Harrison.. Alfa, I’ve made some pretty cool revisions to the program.
Here’s a the latest list of features:
1.) 15 Minute Installation
2.) Hand Coded PHP design with realtime java eBay feeds!
3.) Google Adsense ID management via admin
4.) Customize categories you would like to promote via Admin
5.) Upload/Manage your own logo via Admin Panel
6.) Manage your Commission Junction via Admin Panel
7.) Specify category to be displayed on landing page
8.) Free Installation and Product Support!
Had to share this email from someone that bought the script: “This is going to be a great piece of software! I got this baby installed in about 30 seconds with zero problems….I am very excited about it! I think you have a very marketable piece of software here - I would love to have thought of it.”
Lol - Sweet!
