This is inspired by all those motivating posts that successful bloggers have written about the house, car, LCD TV, laptop, the Nikon D40, the snacks, and all those other lovely items that blogging bought.
Whether you work as a full-time chat support representative or you have mini-sites which you earn some extra money from through affiliate programs, AdSense and other ad networks, most probably you have bought something out of your online income.
Mine includes being able to pay for a real estate investment downpayment and a notebook PC. I don’t think I can ever pay for such investments if not for my online projects.
So what about you? Aside from bulking up your savings account, what purchase that earnings from your online projects made possible were you most proud of?
I paid for my trip/cruise to Mexico to attend a friend’s wedding with my earnings online. They always razzed me that I played too much video games, but when they teased about it when we were down there. I’d come back with I paid for this trip with my playing them games =).
@ Mitch
Haha! Earning while playing and being able to go to a cruise from the money you earned – Doesn’t that feel great?
What video games made you earn that much?
World of Warcraft. I sell off extra gold I make from the game for cash to other players. I posted my Decemeber earnings the other day from it, and it totaled out to about 1600 or so. That was from the whole year though so its not something I think I can get rich off of, but its a nice side income considering its a game.
Jeez,
I’ve bought a lot of gadgets with the money I’ve earned with my websites such as ipods, tivos, tvs, etc. But recently I got myself the best gift of all…
I quit my full time job of 7 years because my websites are finally at the point where they can support my family.
So all though the gadgets have been cool, but escaping a 9-5 has been the best.

Having the means and courage to leave a 9-5 job is a big feat!
More power!
Thanks Alfa!
Trust me, it was years of work and preparation. Just happy I was finally able to do it. It’s perfect timing because I have a baby girl on the way so I can actually be a stay at home dad. =)
A whole new life!
Plus some nice extras like gadgets and craft stuff and books…
I bought a condo and made a few trips overseas like Holland
