If you want to try the idea of making money with your mobile phone, a service you might want to check out is Fluc. The basic idea is that when you sign up with Fluc, you opt-in to receive content (advertisements) on your mobile phone. They can be in the form of text or MMS messages. Every time you receive and read the content sent to you, you get paid. Each message can earn you varying amounts (typically 20-30 cents).
Another way to make money from Fluc is by growing your network. Basically, when folks sign up using your special sign-up affiliate code, they go under your network.
Payment Options available are: Paypal, Moneybookers, Checks, Fluc Debit Card, Wire Transfer. Payment threshold is $20 if you opt to be paid via Paypal. There’s a $30 threshold for check payments.
It is meant to be available worldwide, but some countries and mobile carriers may not be supported. The only way to know is by signing up.
You can set the number of messages you receive on a daily basis. You can also choose what type of content to receive: ‘regular’ content, coupons and/or discount offers. The time you’re able to receive content may also be sent (default is 8am to 8pm).
Anyway, I had a look around and signed up. My initial reaction was that it does feel a bit ’spammy’. Although, they do claim that they’re legit and they don’t spam folks.
Another thought I had while poking around was that it might freak some people out to provide a lot of information to a site (location, mobile phone number, interests, etc.). The information are requested in order to provide you the most relevant content/ads.
In any case, I thought I’ll give it a whirl and see how it works. I’ll report any other findings as they come.

Seems pretty interesting to me. Hopefully they are able to incorporate more features etc. Seems the site/concept is still in its infancy - so hopefully these guys can really get this going.
