Our recent server outages made a few us on b5media think more about crisis management in one’s businesses. As an online entrepreneur, do you have a crisis management plan for your business? What happens if your server goes down? Or your payment or email systems become inaccessible? Or you encounter difficult clients? What kind of strategies do you have in place to handle these types of issues? And, how will you advise newcomers to the online business field?

I’d suggest not to leave the day job until you’re very sure your make-money-online venture is very feasible and don’t forget to build an emergency fund to avoid headaches when things go wrong financially.

If you are using systems to run your business then redundancy should be built into them. There will still be crisis management, but once you’ve faced the crisis one time, a system should be put in place to handle it, so it’s not a crisis again.

I will be using the things I am learning from James Brausch and from understanding when and where redundancies are needed.
