One of the greatest help that social network sites can provide to those who wish to earn money online is more exposure for their profiles, which include their websites and blogs. But social network sites are mushrooming like crazy nowadays that it can be just so confusing on which one to pour all your efforts on. Although I’m not saying that you should put all your eggs in one basket, it’s important to know which will be the most useful in helping you find employers or profitable projects.
I’ve landed about two jobs through my Facebook contacts. Now that doesn’t mean that you will also find that much or less clients/projects through this application-laden site, it has a great potential.
If you have a very popular MySpace page and you know how to play your cards well, with its millions of members it will be hard not to find new clients if you know the best groups to join, the right people to follow, how to post bulletins and update your page accordingly. Oh you can even earn indirectly with the help of your creativity and the popularity of MySpace - What about those MySpace layouts you’ve been creating for how many months now? I’m sure you don’t need to be told that you can earn from those MySpace layouts. Like WordPress themes, MySpace layouts are one of the most searchable site skins and anything highly searchable deserves attention from those who’d like to make money online using a website serving ads.
It won’t be dubbed as the world’s largest professional network for nothing. One way that I notice to be of good use to get people to notice you and hire you is use the question and answer feature. Ask a question related to your job and you just might find potential clients inquiring about your services any time soon.
Do you know of any other social network site that’s home to innumerable headhunters or busy entrepreneurs looking for contract workers? Please let us know about these social network sites so we can all be merry finding landing more projects.

Some of these sites are even receiving more traffic than Google itself, so this is really powerful stuff.
Everyone wants to be your friend at Yuwie…The social networking site that pays its members.
I would heartily recommend Yuwie.
As you point out, Alfa, there are a lot of opportunities for myspace “trinkets” off of the myspace site and by developing your own site and getting SE traffic. But those are distinct, I believe, from the opportunities on the social network sites themselves. Like your linkedin example. Build a reputation from yourself and you may find that it pays in the longer run via attracting you customers/clients. Not all social network sites suit everybody. It’s definitely the case that linkedin’s core market is considerably different to bebo’s. There’s a list of good social networking resources on our site if you care to drop in: here
Very good list here. I didn’t know Facebook was good for getting clients. I’ll be sure to check it out. Thanks!
Social networking is crucial to building an online presence these days. They offer you an alternative way to stand out from the competition, as more and more people turn to the Internet as a way to make a living. I always suggest that people explore these methods to bring not only new clients, but traffic and reputation to their business as well. Nice article, thank you.
For bloggers, i give a hearty thumbs up to “Blog Catalog”.
They are a Web 2.0 blog directory, and the community aspect is what drives me there on a regular basis.
I think that Social Network Sites it’s a good way to make friends, gain traffic and tell people about you and your blog! Thanks for the list!
