Would You Advise New Graduates to Make Money Online Instead of Seeking Employment?

Make Money Online or Get HiredAccording to this press release, more university grads are forgetting about employment to make money online instead.

According to the findings, more and more top graduates are shunning low paid training positions across professions in favor of starting their own businesses, particularly online given the lower capital requirements and minimal regulation, which could have dramatic consequences for the health of the economy should this mark the beginning of a growing trend.

It was also mentioned that this can cause a widespread brain drain and hurt the economy badly since with the lure of making money online and the urge to tackle the education debt, there’s the possibility of a shortage of qualified professionals.

Now if your advice is solicited regarding this matter, would you recommend new graduates to earn through online methods ASAP? Why or why not?

I don’t blame them. Why would you work for somebody else when you can work for yourself from the comfort of home earning three times as much.

If you ask me I’ll never go back to my old 9:00 to 5:00 job. Thanks but no thanks.

If asked, I would recommend graduates to do both. Real life experience can not be discounted or substituted. You never know when you may lose the “connection” to the internet (pun intended). There are life skills and business acumen that can only be learned by jumping in and getting your hands dirty. The knowledge a graduate learns in a “real job” are invaluable and transferable to entrepreneurship.

The internet is a phenomenal tool and I would highly recommend that graduates be creative and hang their shingle here too. Do both! The internet business also teaches unique skills and abilities as well as creates a network of people that you will never get going to work at a 9 to 5 job.

    Those are my thoughts!
