in General: Making Money Stuff

Grooveshark

Even though it seems to be going on for a few months now, I only just heard about this online music service called Grooveshark. It’s a web-based application where people can find and share music online. And, if you create and share music, they offer payments too (priced per download). So, this seems to be one way to make money online through online music sharing.

Currently, the service is still in private beta. But, you can request an account if you wish to test it out. I just requested for one, and I’ll let you know as soon as I learn more about this service.

If you’ve used Grooveshark, or you know anything else about this service, I’d love to hear from you.

UPDATES:

  • Received my invitation code less than 6 hours after I applied for an account.
  • Next steps include: Complete registration, Download, Install and Set-up Sharkbyte application (free).
  • Found out that it costs about 99 cents to download a music track. Those who own/share the music tracks get a % of those download fees.
  • I have 5 invites to give away. Let me know if you want one.
