A new job site, Applicant Tree or more particularly employee-employer matching service is paying applicants to post their resumes and get interviewed by top companies. This service is similar to NotchUp.
Applicant Tree basically earns by making employers buy an applicant’s resume.
Here is how it works:
1. Fill out an application.
2. Get an interview schedule with one Applicant Tree representative to confirm the information you’ve put and for the pricing negotiation ($15 to $100 depending on your educational background, field, years of experience and annual salary.
3. After the interview, provide three references.
The service gets 50% of your resume’s price. So if it’s valued at $100, you get $50 whenever a company purchases your resume.
Some advantages with Applicant Tree is that its commission’s waived if the applicant is currently in the military. There’s also an referral program.
I haven’t tried it for myself because I know my field won’t be a good fit. But if you sign up, please let us know about your experience with Applicant Tree, will you?
I’m watching this site, and the other sites like it, from a business perspective. I think this new trend of paying for interviews is the new paradigm that recruiters have been looking for, and the model I’d invest in if I could. A lot was written about other websites like NotchUp trying the same thing, but these guys are the closest to a working model I’ve seen yet. It’s cheap enough that businesses can try it without much risk, and regular people are lured in with a fairly simple process. I’m keeping my eye on these sites, I think we’ll hear more about them in the future.
Sites like these are exciting. Why? Because you can just sense the seismic shift coming where money will be flowing freely back and forth between internet sites and users. It’s beginning to make the internet a real economy rather than just an online flea market.
I recently heard about this website and I’m interested in it. Thanks for the review–not many people have written about it yet. It seems like a viable idea from my perspective. As someone looking for a job, this whole wave of sites where job seekers get paid (notchup and such) is very appealing. I’m definitely going to look into it–I like the idea of making money while trying to find a job. I definitely benefit from it!
I was one of those people who had their email scraped from LinkedIn and invited to NotchUp. I thought it was a good idea, signed up for it, but got rejected. I’m a professional with a Master’s degree, and I got rejected. After checking out this site, how it is going to be any different? What’s my guarantee that I won’t get through all the steps just to be told I’m not good enough for their site?
This is an intriguing idea to say the least. I wish them luck.

Oh, wow! I have not heard of this until now. I agree with everyone else, this is one of the best things I’ve heard about in awhile; a way to make money while looking for a job. How can it get better than that! I’m going sign up for it straight away. Hope I get a lot of interest!
Cheap adipex….
Adipex dangers. Drug adipex. Adipex-p. Adipex diet pills. Adipex….
Interesting. Can we say “SCHILLS”?
It’s a scam. These are all employees or owners of the business. Never trust ANY site with nothing but glowing comments…especially when the comments have an odd similarity in writing style…
Well, I’m not sure about this one yet. I believe they sold my information to three on line colleges, who harrased me for days calling even on a Sunday morning at 8AM until I spoke to them and they were so expensive I said no. Also, I never received a phone call from the “so called” perspective employer so I don’t even know if they existed. I never posted my resume, I’m not sure where they obtained it-
I agree with Yeah Right. These other posters are part of the company. I rcvd a text message saying to call 866 825-5509 regarding a delivery job I had applied to. When you call they answer Applicant Tree and give you all the BS about it’ll take 5min to 40min to prequalify me for the position. Called another time to try and find out about the position and they stated that it was confidential details but if they could get some personal info and a small fee they’d make sure I was qulified for the position…for delivery? And when I asked what if I wasn’t qualified to which she said you won’t be charged (ok, sure, sounds like indentity theft to me) and if not then she can help me get schooling to improve my position. Ok, so I give my credit card and give someone personal information, when it started as an unwanted text message. S-C-A-M
I’m new to this after trying to find employment after 1 year I thought I’d try something new
I asked this question to several answer sites. Then Google led me to this site. Is Applicant Tree a recruiter for colleges posing on Job wall and Employment sites? The reason why I asked is that I found them on Job wall. I applied for a particular position that I was interested in and entered the information on the application. I was then told to call at 8885956229. The person answered the phone as if with Applicant Tree. I thought I would be speaking with someone about the position but instead I get told about the 5-40 minute interview spiel and for quality assurance this call may be recorded. The questions start out about my background based on the application. Then the rep says professionally speaking. If you could go to school what would it be for? I answer the question but wondered why I am being asked about college enrollment and told about financial aid when I am simply replying to a job description. I told him I was laid off and that I need a job now. Tuition reimbursement is something I would look into later. I made it very clear to him that I am applying for the position they advertised. He asked me if I would like to speak with his manager about financial options. I told him now is not a good time advising his manager to call me later. I grew more suspicious of the rep’s motive. Buyer Beware this appears to be a scam.
I agree with Anonymouse4$. Applied for a possition for which I am well qualified located in my home town. Got redirected also to Applicant Tree and filled in the application and attached my Resume, Opps! Had to call the posted number after hiting the “Submit my application” button. (888-907-1419) Like Anonymouse4$, got the same about returning to college and appying for a student loan “If you could do it now?”
Tought about it for a second and repied, “I’d like to go back to school, but I’m not in favor of having to pay for a student loan.” A few more questions of the “Loan” nature before moving on and was told, “This is all I need from you. Good luck with your job application.
This all started to sound like a DEAD END SCAM. I typed “Applicant Tree + Review” in my search engine, that brought me here and other sites as well. Also was told by the interviewer that I’d recieve an Email so I could continue my application process. Then was asked if I would do a survey of 40 minutes and be elegible for a chance to win $500.00. Hmmmmmm!
Appearently, these people search other legitamate Job Search sites and play on them for their own gain.
