Like most folks, I like having stuff for free. But, when I actually enjoy a service or a site, I don’t mind sending donations. Especially those that I find useful in my online business.
What about you? Have you used free (“donateware”) sites and services that help you to make money online? Have you sent donations to people who make those sites and services happen?
If you’re a site or service provider, do you make a “donate button” available for your readers and users?

I rarely donate, only because my budget doesn’t allow. To donate would require not eating, which would result in major lost productivity!
I have a donate button up on my site at the moment, but will be waiting several months before officially launching the site. I intend to provide ‘insanely useful’ information via multiple forms and request that people donate if it has helped them.
Thanks for the feedback on that, Jade. For many folks, budget is really a big thing. I’m sure you’ll get donating once budget’s a bit better. I know that when I was hardly making any money online, I barely donated. But now, I’m trying harder to show my appreciation – esp. to apps that I’d probably pay for anyway.
