One of the services that I’ve encountered during Blog World Expo was Commission Videos. The general idea is that they provide you with video content that’s relevant to your blog or site. And, every time a video is played, you get paid per one thousand impressions. If you set your video player to autoplay, you get paid $0.50 CPM (fifty cents per thousand impressions). If your video player is not on auto play, you get paid $7 CPM.
So, what do you need to do to get started? Just go to their site, register your information, pick a relevant feed, follow embed instructions to get the code, and then add the code to your blog or site.
There are a few topics to choose from in terms of their video feeds. They have videos relevant to news, politics, business, technology, science, beauty, fashion, travel,and entertainment.
The concept is quite promising. I like the idea that video distributors can get paid just by people viewing the videos. No one needs to click on any ads. I also like that the video feeds automatically update. It would be nice, of course, if there are more ways to customize the feeds.
In any case, the site is simple to understand, but it is still sparse on available information. But, they’re still in beta. So, they’re probably developing a few things.
Anyway, the Commission Video folks I met donated a couple of swag to give away here at JMMO. So, watch out for a giveaway one of these days.
