This being a blog about making money online, we talk about generating profit and learning how to put dollars in to our pockets and bank accounts. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course. But, every now and then, it’s good to remember that the lack of money is a very real issue to many people around the world. And I mean, not just “I can’t buy what I want” kind of lacking, but the kind that actually has people not eating for days – or not being able to buy any other necessities in life.
Yes, poverty is the theme for this year’s Blog Action Day. And, thousands of bloggers around the world are planning to contribute to the cause by blogging about Poverty on the 15th of October. Other than blogging about it, people can also participate by donating to relevant charities or offering other types of services.
So, are you taking part in this event?

Yes! Shai and Kyle, you two exemplify the spirit we’re trying to get people to feel. This is not navel-gazing. This is a simple, real, powerful opportunity to make something happen that none of us could do on our own.
I am wearing myself out for this project. I hate the fact that I have to sleep at all. I want to lose myself in it so that out of it, someone somewhere gets a meal or a helping hand or even just an insight.
Keep spreading the word and let’s make Blog Action Day not just a one-day event, but the beginning of the rest of our lives in talking about and doing something about poverty.
