When someone approached me a year or two ago, asking if they can buy this blog – Just Make Money Online – I immediately said no. A few months later, I had another interested party offering to buy JMMO for 5 figures. Again, I said no. I even blogged about it here (see point #7).
But, situations change. And, various circumstances brought me to make a very tough decision on JMMO.
Yes, I’m finally opening up the possibility of selling this blog.
To be honest, I’m not sure yet how I’m going to go about doing this, as I’ve never sold a website or weblog before. Especially not one that I have cared for and nurtured for over 3.5 years. Usually, I just end up archiving websites or blogs that I don’t have the time to write for anymore. But, this time, I thought it might be best if I look for someone who can care for JMMO instead of just letting it go.
You see, during the years that I’ve developed this blog, it has become one of the top “make money online” blogs*. And, according to 45n5.com, this type of blogs are hot online commodity. There are over 250 blogs in this niche, and JMMO often appear in the first Top 50.
In fact, if you run the highly sought after term “make money online” on Google – JMMO often appears in the first 2 to 5 pages. There was even a time when JMMO was ranked #7 or #9 – yes, appearing on the first page. Certain blog posts also rank in the first few pages of some popular key searches on Google.
As you can see – JMMO is doing its best to thrive in this very competitive niche.
So, why am I selling it?
Mostly, it’s a personal decision. I feel as though I need to put my focus in other things right now. There are a lot of stuff going on at the moment in my life, so I figured something has to give. And, at this particular time, finding a new owner of JMMO seems to be the best thing to do.
Of course, I will have to carefully consider the options in terms of moving on from JMMO. And, like I said, I haven’t completely figured this out yet. So, my plan is to document this process. Perhaps, this way, we all might be able to learn from the process of selling a web property.
And yes, if you’re interested in buying JMMO (or you know someone who might be), you are invited to express your interest by emailing at shai[at]b5media[dot]com.
My initial idea is to open the sale of this blog privately to start with and work from there. Perhaps, I might also consider putting up for auction. But, it will depend on a few variables.
For now, I’m making the first step: announcing that this blog is for sale. Let’s see what happens from here.
* Just Make Money Online is currently included in the Top 100 Make Money Online Blogs, Top 100 Female Blogs List, and Top 100 Australian Blogs, among a few other lists.

Shai, I am shocked and I can’t help but wander how b5 is taking this.
If the process becomes to over whelming or you change your mind about selling the blog, contact me about a deal I would like to make to you. A deal that allows you to keep the blog as your own but you would not have to do anything but sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Shai;
In selling my blog I tried all the major forums, on most forums they have Buy/Sell Websites and domain/website locations and loaded it up. Plus the buyers want ever kind of stat possible for blog. A pain but necessary.
Contact anyone that is wanting to buy, they may know someone if they did not want to buy. There are people that will buy to make a regular income.
Promote, Promote and Promote some more. Send out a press release of the sell, twitter it alot some folks even sale on ebay, not sure about ebay did not try that.
I was lucky after 2 months I got a lot of interest on forums.digitalpoint.com, this was the 4 time I tried to sell it, this time I sold it in 3 days. It show to keep trying, you will find someone who will purchase.
Now my site have 2000 posts, and several years old, but I wanted to go into a different direction. Kind of like having a tattoo, I do not have one, and have it removed.
Work on other project not related to your blog and help others with their blogs.
