Zango Cash: Yay or Nay?

zango-cash.jpgZango Cash has apparently been around for some time on the web now. It’s a company that offers publishers/site owners a chance to make money online by signing up for one of their programmes. The general premise is that users install their software on your computer (to access free content [?!]) — and you encourage other users to install their software. For every installation (from ‘qualified countries’), you make money.

Alarm bells already started ringing in my head when I read about software installation. I just don’t like the idea of installing just any software in my computer. But, when I read about a couple of users making good money from it (approximately $100-300/day), I decided to investigate a bit closer.

Well, I continued to read mix reviews about it. Some were positive. Some were really negative. Then, I came across this analysis from McAfee SiteAdvisor, saying that it has “21 red flags” from the Zango Cash software downloads. Saying that is possibly adware/spyware.

After that, well, I decided that it’s probably not worth my while to explore further. At least, not for now. So, I’m not looking in to trying Zango Cash in the near future.

What about you? Have you tried Zango Cash before? If not, are you willing to give it a go? What are your thoughts on this matter?

Hasn’t tried it and would try it… anything that involves me downloading software I run for a mile… I don’t even use Google Toolbar because it clogs up the bandwidth with unnecessary junk.

But if I am buying things online I always check first to see if the business is affiliated with emailcash. Cause out of buying things for the same price using them I have enough kickback for a $50 voucher. And that is not buying more than I would anyway.

I tried it and it wasn’t worth it in my opinion. There is talk around the black hat world that Zango drops affiliate cookies and replaces them with their own. Not sure if it is true but if it is, but it is definitely a black spot on their resume.

This may be of interest to you (it is a couple years old, but you will get the picture)…

I haven’t used the program either and also never install download sharing software. You are asking for problems. Good post.

I’ve seen this a few times on the internet, but haven’t ever found it to be a convincing way to make real money online. So I’ve never explored it further. I’ve got enough on my plate already so haven’t thought it was worth the trouble. happy to be told otherwise. Matt

On top of the obvious spyware implications, this has all the trappings of just another internet pyramid scam.

It is very tempting to try them..
especially when other companies give terrible earnings such as 0.05$ per 1000 impressions… it kind of makes it impossible to make a living.

I think I will put zango on my hip hop website.

We tested Zango Cash over several months and found that although you can make a comfortable return on the number of installs if you have a rather large subscription base to introduce Zango Cash and many of your subscribers also join and do installs. The extra income was nice, but we couldn’t in good conscience continue with Zango Cash with the number of complaints we got from our subscribers who were getting issues with their computers shortly after the installs, so we discontinued with Zango Cash as a revenue stream. The concept “Pay-Per-Install” is viable only if the adware-spyware issues can be resolved.
