JMMO Joke of the Moment

A couple of weeks ago, I received this email via JMMO -

Hi,

I heard that you want to sell off your blog. I would like to purchase it for USD70. Is it OK with you?

Thanks,

A

For a moment, I wondered whether this was a serious email or not. I wasn’t quite sure if I should laugh or what when I read it. I considered just deleting it.

But, like any good writer, I decided to use it instead. I thought it might make for an amusing post here. So, here you go.

And yes, here’s my response -

Hi, A.

Yes, I did consider selling my JMMO blog. While I’m happy to continue considering offers for this blog, I have decided not to proceed with the sale for a variety of reasons.

And no, sorry, since I make more than USD$70 a month from this blog, it is *not* OK to sell it for that price.

Thanks for your interest.

Shai

Crazy people… something similar happened to me. I bought a new monitor and was selling my old one online. It had a ‘buy now’ price of $150 and someone sent me a message to say could they buy it off me for $20 if it didn’t sell. Yeah right! It didn’t sell but I relisted and got much closer to my original price within a couple of hours of the relist.

haha I think that was funny.. I like your blog.. it’s really well organized! I wish I could better organize my own.. don’t worry, I’m working on it.

Anyway, just thought I’d share my wacky sense of humor with you.. keep up the great work :)

Nicola – Haha. Crazy indeed. :-)

Trini – That’s cool. But, you can understand why I’d have to turn you down too. ;-) And yes, good luck with organising your blog! Hope it all goes well for you.
