We all want to make money online. But, in order to make money, other people need to spend some money.
I confess, a lot of my online dollars go to various eBay sellers/stores, Etsy, Amazon, and Fishpond. I occasionally spend some of my money in various fees and independent shops.
So, where do YOU spend your money online?

Hi, everyone. Time for a new poll here at JMMO. This time, I’m curious to know if any of you have used paid advertising for your blog/business? Have you tried Google Adwords, TextLinkAds, PayPerPost, etc as an advertiser? I wonder what you think of using online advertising to get new readers and customers?
Have you ever paid for advertising for your blog/business?

Last month, I asked JMMO readers: What’s Your BEST Source of Income Online?
And, as you can see in this chart, I’ve tallied the results and found that most JMMO readers’ source of online income is: Advertising Programs (22%). This is a shift from the results two years ago when I asked the same question. Back then, the most popular way JMMO readers make money online was Writing/Blogging. Ad programs only came in second last time.
Anyway, the second most popular source of income (17%) is Affiliate Programs (Amazon, Clickbank, etc). Looks like more people are doing things on their own lately?
Well, Writing Content (freelancing, eHow, AC, blog networks, etc) and Services (virtual asst, consultant, design, etc) ties in third place with 13% of all votes.
Then, there are those who make money with Product Sales or Auctions (eBay, Etsy, ebooks, etc) with 11% of all votes. And, Other Work (9%). What type of other work, I’m not sure.
Other ways JMMO readers make money online include: Advertising (Direct), with 7% of all votes. And finally, Multimedia (videos, photos, etc) and Other Business (virtual employee, web company, etc) got 4% votes each.
There were a total of 46 respondents in this poll. And, I thank each and every one of you who voted. I really do appreciate it a lot.
Do watch out for our latest poll this month. If you have any suggested poll questions, just let me know and I’ll consider them. Again, thanks!

If you’ve ever considered selling premium content on your blogs or sites, then Klatcher might be a third party service that you might like to look in to. It’s free to use - and you can upload any type of files - text, photos, videos, podcasts, and other documents. But, the only guideline is for publishers to offer at least 10% of their uploaded content for sale.
They offer 65% revenue share (based on content sale price) with publishers. And, it’s all payable via Paypal.
Also, they have offered 10 cents per 99 views to all publishers with a US bank account. But, I’m not certain how long this offer will last.
I haven’t given it a full go just yet, so I’m not sure how the service works. And since I’m based in Australia, their offer of pay-per-view isn’t something I can check.
In any case, if you try it out, I’d be interested to hear from you.
Anyway, for more ideas, here’s a video on Klatcher:

Recently, I came across this affiliate site called Web Warrior Tools. And, I was immediately attracted to its clean, simple look. When I signed up and checked it out, I found the process quite easy and simple as well. Then, I found out that it was started by bloggers Leo Babauta from ZenHabits and Glen Stansberry of LifeDev.
Basically, the products they sell at the moment are ebooks related to business, money, lifestyles, and technology. Some of its sample products include: The Beginner’s Guide to Podcasting and Jump Start Your Work Space. Many of their products are well priced and affordable.
They run an affiliate programme that pays resellers 30% from the sale price. Plus, if you recruit other resellers, you can also receive a tiered commission from their sales. And, they offer to pay via Paypal. So far, I have not seen any payment threshold and other restrictions on their site. So, we’ll see how it goes.
If you do try it out, let me know. If you have other thoughts on Web Warrior Tools’ products and services, I’d love to hear about them too. If I learn anything else, as always, I’d be reporting them right here.

So, you work hard. You tick those boxed on your To Do List one by one.
If you work for someone else, you might get your reward in the form of bonuses or extra pay or praise. But, if you’re working for yourself, where do you get your reward for a job well done?
What kind of rewards do you give yourself? Time off? A new gadget? Some pampering?
When you work to make money online, it’s good to have a list of ways (and things!) to reward yourself.

In true JMMO Show Me The Money tradition, I’m sharing with you a report on a first payment from an affiliate experiment. This time, it’s from The Pepperjam Network. Yes, I received my first payment via Paypal with them the other day. Woohoo!
If you want to check out my previous blog posts about Pepperjam, here’s one where I talked about their Blogger Incentive Programme. And, this one where I announced that I signed up with them and started experimenting with their service.
So, if you want to try it yourself, Sign up with the Pepperjam Network today. They do pay via Paypal, with a payment threshold of $25 in the cycle. If you don’t reach that threshold in a month, it gets rolled over to the next month. It took me just over a month from sign-up to payment.
And yes, I believe they’re still running their blogger their blogger incentive programme and sign-up bonuses.
If you’ve received your first payment from Pepperjam too, let us know right here.

Hi, there. This is just a quick reminder that I’ll be closing this poll on the best source of online income shortly. After I close this poll, I’ll be tallying and sharing the results with you.
If you already voted, thanks! I really appreciate it. And, if you haven’t voted yet, please do. It’ll be great to have a bigger sample of votes, so that we can get a better sense of where JMMO readers are at in this topic.
